Meet Our Staff
The staff at our Coastal Transmission Service of Beaufort service and repair center are all highly trained and certified technicians with one common goal in mind - quality service at honest prices. Our transmission center is diligent in applying the ATRA Member Code of Ethics to all of our transmission repair and diagnostic services for the purpose of better assisting our customers with their repair needs and concerns. Adherence to the ATRA Code of Ethics also helps ensure that when you bring in your vehicle for transmission service or repair you know that you are receiving honest and professional service from our technical staff. Our transmission technicians are always polite and courteous in their effort to provide you with the quality of service you want and deserve.
Mike Morrison
President
Mike is the Owner and President of Coastal Transmission Service of Beaufort Inc. since 1989. ATRA certified, ASE certified, and member of the two largest transmission associations in the U.S. along with AAA approved for Transmission Repair.
Edwin Utsey
Chief Technician/Rebuilder
Edwin has been on the staff since 1989, is ASE certified in both Automatic and Standard Transmissions, an ATRA certified service writer and R&R technician. He is in charge of training for transmission repairs/rebuilding and electronic repairs.
Paul Paulos
Rebuilder/Technician
Paul's background includes prior work with AAMCO Transmission and a prior owner of his own shop. He brings many years of experience. He is ASE certified in Automatic Transmissions.
Joseph McLaughlin
R&R Technician
Joey has 10 plus years of experience in General Repair and Transmission Repair from Charleston, SC. He is also in charge of our towing fleet and responsible for all maintenance.
Nicole Raino
Office Manager
Nicole is the first contact for both our retail and wholesale accounts. She is responsible for ensuring all the repairs are made in a timely manner and are ready for delivery or customer pick up. She is an ASE Certified Service Consultant.
William Kizer
R&R Technician
William has 25+ years experience in automotive repair. He built his own car at 16 years old, so he would have a way to school, he and his family have been in the automotive repair industry for as long as any of the Beaufort residents can remember. His vast experience in all aspects of automotive repair including electrical, engine, exhaust, as well as transmission makes him an excellant addition to Coastal Transmission.
Dwayne Gibbs
R&R Technician
Dwayne has 15+ years experience in general automotive repair, he previously worked at O.C. Welch Ford, Lincoln, Mercury dealership as a technician. He is proficent in front and rear wheel drive vehicles, and both automatic and standard transmission removal and reinstallation. His knowledge of general repair and transmission repair makes him a great asset to Coastal Transmission.
Keith Edwards
R&R Technician
Keith, has 10 years experience in General Repair and Transmission Repairs having worked at both a Chrysler and Chevrolet Dealership.
